| As per Draft IT policy 2006-2010
, Government proposes to provide following incentives
to IT & ITES Industry. |

Mega IT project
On case to case basis, a special package
of incentives may be offered for mega
IT projects with investment above USD
10.7 Million. |

High-Tech park
IT park will be provided financial assistance@50%
of fixed capital investment in land,
buildings & infrastructure facilities
upto of USD 0.537 Millions. |
 |
Exemption from Stamp
duty
The developer of IT park will be eligible
for exemption from payment of stamp
duty on purchase of land. |
 |
Exemption from Electricity
duty
All new Information Technology Industry
units have been exempted from the payment
of Electricity duty for 5 years. |
 |
Exemption from Power
cuts
The IT & ITES unit will be considered
eligible for exemption from power cuts. |
 |
Simplification of Labour
Laws
Simplified labour laws to suit the needs
of IT & ITES companies.
General permission to all IT & ITES
companies to have 24 * 7 operations
running in three shifts.
No barriers pertaining to employment
of women at night. |

Training
Incentive
Subject to appropriate certification
of skills by independent agency, an
amount of USD 32 per candidates will
be provided to the training institutes
which successfully train candidates
in communication/ soft- skills and ensure
their placement in reputed IT & ITES
companies in the state. |

On-the-Job-Training Incentive
New IT/ITES unit will be given employment
incentive @ USD 429.8 per employee subject
to a ceiling of USD 0.107Million. |

Investor Facilitation
Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) will
act as a nodal agency for hand holding
and providing effective liasioning with
various government agencies/ bodies. |
