One of the important events of my tenure was my trip to Gujarat. It was a revelation to visit places like BRTS corridor, Sabarmati riverfront and the Gift city. My visit to Gujarat was an eye opener on progress the state has made. The Japanese government will be providing a strong assistance to introduce a high speed rail in India, the first line being between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Progress in Gujarat is stunning. Not many other economies can boast of double digit growth like Gujarat. Certainty, predictability and infrastructure ensure projects are implemented
